Do I need a Redshift license?

This depends on which course you're taking.

If you're taking Cinema 4D Ascent, you'll need to license your own rendering software. Most students use Redshift, but others choose to use Octane or another program. The program you use is up to you, but remember that Redshift is the program our Teaching Assistants are most familiar with and if you choose Redshift, you'll need the full, GPU version.

If you're taking Cinema 4D Basecamp, you do not need to register Redshift or any other rendering software. Instead, you'll be rendering using the Redshift CPU included in the Cinema 4D license you're provide for the course.
